Tanzanite is a blue Zoisite and a popular alternative to blue sapphire . This rare blue gem is mined commercially at only one location in Tanzania. <\/em><\/p>\n

Tanzanite naturally occurs in a wide range of colour that includes colourless, grey, yellow, brown, pink, green, blue, and violet. The name “Tanzanite” is used for a colour variety of zoisite that ranges from blue to bluish purple to bluish violet.<\/p>\n
