As now is the month of May, we shall introduce about the birthstone, which is Emerald! Emerald derived from the word \u2018Smaragdus\u2019 and it means \u2018green\u2019 in Greek. It is a variety of the mineral Beryl and has a hardness of 7.5 on the Mohs scale. Emerald has long been known as one of the \u2018Four King Gems\u2019. Since ancient times, Emerald is said to grant its owner foresight and youth.<\/p>\n
