Ruby, a gemstone usually pink to blood-red in colour, is a variety of the mineral corundum.\u00a0The name derives from ‘Ruber’<\/em> which means ‘Red’<\/em> in Latin. Rubies are\u00a0considered to be one of the hardest gemstones, with a MoHs Scale of 9.0 and the most famous colour for rubies is known as ‘Pigeon Blood’<\/em> which is very rare to find in the world.<\/p>\n
