About Venus Tears
Venus Tears opened its first shop in Singapore in 2013. It started with a desire to
introduce jewellery that is meticulously crafted by Japanese artisans to the people of Singapore and
neighbouring countries. Today, Venus Tears specialise in bridal jewellery with a total of eight
stores, four in Singapore and four in Japan.
Bridal rings are meants to be worn with the person you love for the rest of your
life. In addition to improving your knowledge of diamonds and jewellery, there is nothing like the
sense of satisfaction when you see the smile on the customer's face upon collection. The Japanese
brand is being developed directly in Singapore, making it an attractive multicultural workplace!
FAQ
Does the company reimburse transportation expenses?
We do not provide any allowance, but we will assign you to a store of your choice that is as close to your residence as possible.
Can I apply even if I have no experience?
Our company has implemented on-the-job training (OJT) programme. Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply. Most of the staff started with no experience, and the senior staff across the store will help newcomers with good support.
How long does it take to hear back from the interview?
The process from interview to acceptance/rejection is one week if everything goes smoothly, or two weeks if you are unable to schedule an interview immediately.
What relevant skills and experience would be advantageous?
No experience in the jewelry industry is required, but if you have experience working as a salesperson at a retail store, you will be able to grasp the flow easily.
What is the job scope?
This position involves consulting and selling bridal rings that will be a part of the customer's life. We take the time to work with our customers to find the bridal rings they will wear for the rest of their lives, and provide them with professional, high-quality service and product knowledge.
Does the company offer industry-relevant skills improvement programs?
Yes, we do. First, you will receive on-the-job training within the company, and then you will have the opportunity to participate in courses related to the jewelry and customer service industries. You will also receive a certificate of completion.
How would you describe the atmosphere at the company?
Many of our staff have been with us for a long time in a supportive environment. We have not been able to hold internal events in the past few years due to the pandemic, but we intend to do so in the future.
