4Cs GIA Diamonds

GIA diamonds are known for diamonds that are graded by GIA, the creator of the 4Cs and the independence of diamond authority. Each diamond is unique and is a miracle of time, place and change. And each has specific qualities that establish its value.

“GIA certified diamond” is a misnomer. The 4Cs of Diamond Quality is the universal method for assessing the quality of any diamond, anywhere in the world. The creation of the Diamond 4Cs meant two very important things, diamond quality could be communicated in a universal language, and diamond customers could now know exactly what they were about to purchase.

GIA examines the diamond, assesses it’s qualities based on the 4Cs, and describes it. It does not certify the diamond or its value. Rather, like other scientific laboratories, GIA issues a report on the results of it’s evaluation of a particular diamond and believes “report” is the appropriate term to describe its grading results.

Each of the four C’s (Carat Weight, Cut, Color, Clarity) is accompanied by a diamond chart illustrating the differences between grades. After learning more, if you need to see diamonds in person, do visit us in our stores. Note the color, cut, and clarity that best fit your needs.
