History of Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry
In the 19th century, Prince Albert of the United Kingdom passed away. Liliuokalani, the last queen of Hawaii Dynasty, whom has a close friendship with the British Royal Family created a gold bangle that has “HO’OMANAO’MAU” engraved in black enamel, which she wore her entire life in memorial of him. The engraved message meant ‘A Lasting Remembrance’, and this is how the birth of Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry came about.
Hawaiian Jewelry has now became the cultural representative of Hawaii to gift it to someone special or for special occasions such as birthdays, graduations and weddings. It is considered an honour to receive such a precious, and personalized gift. Heirloom Jewelry will last a lifetime, and is often passed from generation to generation.
