From the 13th-18th century in Europe, the custom of sending Posie rings to loved ones was commonly practiced.

Posie rings typically have engravings on the inside of the rings, and are usually poems or words of love.

These rings flaunts an antique appearance and beautiful geometric pattern.

We engraved “AEI”, a Greek word for “ETERNITY” inside the ring.

AEI is a vintage styled ring, and the designs they sport are very different from normal rings.

Origin of Wedding Bands!

It’s pretty much accepted at this point in time that everyone wears their wedding ring on the left ring finger. But why? And do bride and grooms absolutely have to? Here is the story behind a left hand ring placement and whether or not you have to follow this custom.

The story of wearing your wedding ring on the left hand can be traced back to ancient Roman and Greek times (It’s true!). Back in those days, the Romans believed that the vein in the ring finger (the fourth finger) on the left hand ran directly to one’s heart. Because of this belief, they called that vein the “vena amoris” or vein of love. Naturally, to solidify a union based on love, they’d place the ring on that finger that housed the vein of love to signify the romance newly married couples shares. A pretty adorable physical representation of two hearts being connected, don’t you think?

Venus Tears brings in Ruby rings and Ruby Necklaces Certified by NAN YANG GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE and our designs are all specially made in Japan by our creative Japanese Craftsmen.

A Ruby ranges from pink to blood-red coloured gemstones. Rubies are considered one of the four precious stones, along Sapphire,Emerald and Diamond.

Rubies are the traditional birthstone for July. Rubies are rated at a hardness level of 9.0 on the mohs scale.

All natural Rubies have imperfections in them, including colour impurities and inclusions of rutile needles known as ‘Silk’.

Myanmar(Burma), was for centuries the world’s main source for Rubies. The best colour for rubies are described as “Pigeon’s blood”.
