Akoya pearls are cultured akoya oyster. This is found and farmed in Japan. Akoyas are known for their pinkish luster and mostly are round in shape and are considered the classic pearls.
They are smoother and rounder than freshwater pearls and south sea pearls.Size in average from 3mm to 9mm.
