Introduction to MAILE

The word ‘Maile’ could be familiar to some, referring to Maile lei, a Hawaiian leaf to communicate love, respect, blessing and reverence. The Hawaiian leaf is an indigenous vine or shrub found in wet forests throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Similarly, the brand MAILE is inspired by Hawaiian heirloom jewelry with design featuring Hawaiian engravings. It is a hand-carved collection that requires craftsmen’s high level of precision to produce.

Each thought and consideration is what makes the ring truly unique to you, it’s especially so when you could decide what goes on the ring.

Noticing that different types of clothes could change one’s impression, the little jewellery on our fingers could do that as well. And like our clothing, we choose the one ring that matches our character and finger best: Starting from width of ring, engravings, colours, design details, finishing, inner or outer stones to point designs.

For example, ‘Princess’ engraving above symbolizes “Love and Hope’ for the future. The design symbolizes Princess Kaiulani, who was touted as the star of hope in Hawaii. Scrolls (waves) that are said to “invite happiness”, with flower representing love, and the leaf that connects the waves leads to a future full of love and hope.
