Venus Tears have a wide variety of ring designs for customers to choose from, be it Engagement rings or Wedding bands.
But design is not the only thing you can choose, the material is something you can choose as well. Not all designs but majority of it can be chosen.

The material we carry are mainly platinum, and 18k white gold, 18k rose gold & 18k yellow gold. Then again, we do have silver material as well for some designs, usually for customers who want to use them as fashion wear but not limited to just that purpose.

While these are some common materials you see around, the craftmanship might differ from one craftmen to another. Especially when you’re actually looking at craftmen in Japan making your beloved rings.

Unique material that we bring in for wedding bands, Honey Yellow Gold, a special material whereby only this series “KATAMU” will have. Honey Yellow Gold is a mix of K18 gold alloys, unique in colour.

Champagne Gold is a light beige colour in K18. It is an alloy based on gold and the color is made by mixing metal with Gold.

So try not to mix these 2 materials up as they do have their own difference comparing from 1 to another.

Platinum 900 and 950 are basically 90% or 95% platinum as per stated in the photo on top, and it is naturally white metal. It’s much rarer and heavier than gold, giving it a solid feel. This material is also hypoallergenic, which is also better for people with sensitive skin. Lastly, it is also a timeless material where the colour will not fade thus being much more lasting than most material.

K18white gold / Yellow gold / Pink gold contains 75% of pure gold, the rest is a mix made of some other precious metal alloys. K10 gold content is a mix of 41.6% pure gold, along with some other precious metal alloys.

It’s also a timeless practice as people have been engraving their most precious pieces of jewelry with sweet vows & religious quotes since medieval times.

With a variation of fonts & initial symbols available to choose from the different collections in VENUS TEARS, the two main types of engravings are laser engraving & hand-carved engraving.

Laser engraving features a clear & elaborate engraving because it uses a machine therefore even small letters are easy to read. Hand-carved engraving is manually & painstakingly carved into the ring by skilled & experienced craftsmen so no two rings will be the same.

Depending on the brand’s differences, there are the “Block” & “Cursive” fonts. The Block font is much easier to read & can be expressed clearly whereas the Cursive style is more fashionable.

The number of characters to be engraved may be limited depending on the type & thickness of the desired rings as well as the wearer’s finger size. They may also become lighter or disappear completely if there is a need to resize or repolish the rings after marriage. Simply check with our friendly staff for re-engraving inquiries.

Maile is the inherited heirloom collection from Hawaii. The uniquely crafted bold band rings are handmade by Japanese craftsmen. Although Hawaiian bracelets are the most traditional style of heirloom jewelry, more variations have surfaced over the years.

You can create your original Hawaiian ring with our semi- Haute couture ordering system. Each ring can be customized to your desired material – Platinum, K18 Yellow Gold, Rose Gold, or White Gold. You can decide on one tone or 2 tones, to set an outer design with various choices and get an inner gem or outer gem on the wedding bands.

The ring designs are special & meaningful, created from forging & with high-strength material. The rings’ shapes are molded by a hammering technique, achieving durability and comfort in wearing it. As for the outer design, it is hand-carved in an Oahu studio, with Traditional Hawaiian engravings.
