What is Ring Casting?

Ring casting is a method used to create detailed and high quality rings by pouring molten metal into a mould. This mold is usually formed from a model of the ring design, allowing for intricated designs and customizations. This method has been used since the older ages till now in making jewellery.

To make this particular process easier most of the people in the jewellery field prefer using the wax jewellery casting and manufacturing technique.

Wax Jewellery technique

You can create only one design and for the next cast, you have to recreate them. Initially, the jewelry wax is molded by an experienced technician to create the designs that are required for making a jewel. After creating them they are placed on a special tree-like structure. This particular wax tree is placed inside a hollow cylindrical shaped container with holes on all sides. The container is then filled with plaster and placed inside a high heat-producing metal frame. They are exposed to high temperatures so that the plaster can harden. At the same time, the wax within the plaster will slowly melt away creating a hollow space.

Because of this phenomenon, they are also called lost wax casting jewelry. After removing from the flame they are cooled down and the melted metal is poured into the hole and allowed to set for some time. Later the plaster is removed and the design is taken out. The designs are then removed from the tree and then subjected to polishing before combining them to make a perfect ring design.

The history of Hawaiian jewellery traces back to the era of ancient Hawaii royal family. It is hand-made jewellery of traditional craftmanship and techniques. By our semi-haute couture ordering system, you can make your original Hawaiian ring.

MAILE bridal ring collection are made in Japan. The rings’ shapes are moulded by a hammering technique, achieving its durability and comfort in wearing it. As for the outer design, it is hand-carved in Oahu studio, with traditional Hawaiian engravings. In addition, you can customize your ideal rings by selecting its material, width, flat or barrel, 1 toned or 2 toned, the hand carved design, side cut, finishing and inner or outer stones etc.

There are 4 types of material available in the selection, platinum, K18 white gold, yellow gold, and pink gold. You may decide on one single tone of one material of your choice or two tone with a mixture of K18 gold with K18 gold or platinum.

Next, you may chose the type of band you prefer as they are available in flat or barrel and followed by the thickness of the band of your preference.

There are also several Hawaiian hand carved designs to chose from and each designs comes with different meanings. Below are some examples of the designs available.

Princess – This design is symbolized a happiness to the loved ones and love, and the design of leaves connecting waves filled with love and hope.

Heritage – Inherited from generation to next generation, Resurgence is a symbol of eternity.
