ANKHORE

If you like thinner wedding rings, Ankhore can definitely become your favorite. All of our rings are custom-made in Japan, and there are four materials for you to choose from, such as K18 white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, and platinum.

Wearing a thinner ring will make your hands look extraordinarily elongated, and it is also the best choice for many ladies to tape their engagement rings.

Ankhore’s rings are more classic, attractive, and timeless designs. These designs are also easier to wear and match in daily life.

The story begins with something old, something new, something borrowed & something blue

For centuries, The tradition is based on an Old English rhyme. It describes what a bride should have on her wedding day: “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, a sixpence in your shoe.”

Creative ideas for honoring the tradition of a happy marriage can be a meaningful way to incorporate cherished people, objects, and memories into your special day.

“Something old” represented a tie to the past. “Something new” stood for hope for the future. ‘something borrowed” typically means incorporating an item belonging to a family member or dear friend for good luck, and “something blue” doesn’t have to be worn by the bride. Can ask guests to wear something blue, including their bridesmaids, family, or relatives, it symbolizes love and purity. And the sixpence was intended to bring prosperity to the couple.

Something Blue collection wedding bands are made of pure platinum. From PT999 , PT950 and PT900. Platinum is one of the rarer metals and durable materials.

There is a blue sapphire set inside of the Every Something Blue series wedding band. You may have it engraved in meaningful words, anniversary dates, special symbols that can be selected, and a few fonts available that you can choose from the collection.

November Birthstone – Citrine & Topaz

If you are born in November, you are blessed with two ruling birthstone choices: Topaz & Citrine. These beautiful, precious gemstones come in an array of dazzling colors & are relatively affordable.

In 1912, American jewelers wanted to standardize birthstones. Modern birthstones are based on which is the easiest to sell in large quantities thus November has two birthstones. These elegant & exquisite stones can be found in abundance in most gem-stocking regions around the world, giving the impression of royalty & are among the more inexpensive birthstones sold today. In fact, Topaz was the original birthstone & Citrine was later added as a lower-priced option.

The word “topaz” is derived from the Sanskrit word “tapas” which means fire. It is a naturally occurring neo-silicate mineral that comes in a rainbow of colors. Topaz measures 8 on the Mohs scale & is therefore very durable! It also has a high refractive index so it sparkles & is perfect for a variety of jewelry options.

It was believed that wearing a topaz above the heart would be blessed with a long life of beauty, wisdom & strength. When the November birthstone is gifted to someone, it symbolizes a promise of everlasting love & fidelity.

The word “citrine” stems from the Latin word “lemon”. The quartz is renowned for its charming yellow & orange hues. The warmth color is said to be a gift from the sun & it’s believed to be a healing gemstone, gifting whoever owns it with an abundance of vitality & positive energy.

Measuring a 7 on the Mohs scale, citrine is durable, making it a practical choice for everyday wear & special occasions. The richer the hue of the citrine, the more desirable the birthstone.

The ‘Disney Cinderella 2023 Bridal Collection’ has the beautiful and sweet Cinderella-like gemstone ‘Blue Topaz’ hidden inside the ring. Pure light blue is the image color of Cinderella. The language of the stone is ‘If you believe, your dreams will come true’, just like the concept phrase of Cinderella.

The limited-edition rings will be available for sale for one year from 01.10.2022 to 30.09.2023 in a limited edition of 1159 (pairs/pieces), to mark the dreamy hour of 11:59 before the spell is broken. Hurry & own these gorgeous wedding rings today, exclusively only at Venus Tears!

September Birthstone – Sapphire

The September birthstone has traditionally symbolized sincerity, truth, faithfulness, and nobility. For countless centuries, sapphire has adorned royalty and the robes of the clergy. The elite of ancient Greece and Rome believed that blue sapphires protected their owners from harm and envy. Clerics of the Middle Ages wore sapphires because they symbolized Heaven. Ancient Persians believed the earth actually rested on a giant sapphire, which made the sky blue.

The September birthstone was reputed to have healing powers as well. Medieval Europeans believed that sapphire cured plague boils and diseases of the eye. The sapphire birthstone was also thought to be an antidote to poison.

Kashmir, Myanmar (formerly Burma), and Sri Lanka are three historically important sources for the September birthstone. Significant quantities of the September birthstone have also been found in Australia, Thailand, Cambodia, Madagascar, and the United States (Montana), among other countries in Asia and Africa.

Sapphires that are not blue are known as fancy sapphires and may be any color—except red (which is a ruby). The fancy sapphire colors are pink, orange, yellow, green, purple, and violet.

May Birthstone – Emerald

Emerald, the birthstone for May, is a symbol of rebirth & renewal. The name is also derived from the word “smaragdus” meaning “Green” in Greek. The lush green stone is believed to grant the wearer good fortune, youth & foresight.

The precious stone is the perfect color for Spring. Prized for its brilliant & mesmerizing rich green hues, it has captured hearts & minds through the ages. It is a favorite stone by the famous & wealthy to wear as statement jewelry during special events.

Emerald has therapeutic properties as the comforting soft green relieves stress & eye strain.

The green birthstone was also once thought to have magical powers. Legends tell that Emeralds allowed the wearer to foretell the future. Some believed that by placing it under the tongue, the emerald could reveal the truth & ward off evil spirits. The gemstone was also used to cure diseases like malaria & cholera.

Emerald is associated with the heart chakra & has both healing effects on the physical & emotional heart. It brings loyalty, unity & unconditional love.

Colombia has the source of the finest emeralds & is the standard by which all others are measured. They are also the largest supplier, responsible for more than 60 percent of the world’s production. Countries like Brazil, Africa, India, Pakistan & Afghanistan are also important producers of the May birthstone.

The presence of chromium & sometimes vanadium gives emerald its beautiful green shade. The deeper or greener the emerald, the more valuable it is. The rarest will appear intense green-blue.

Emerald is a 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale of hardness and thus is more susceptible to scratching. It is often treated to improve its color & clarity. It is important to avoid exposure to heat, harsh chemicals & changes in air pressure. Prevent the use of ultrasonic cleaner as the vibrations & heat can cause damage to the filled Emerald. The safest way to clean emeralds is to gently scrub them with a soft-bristled brush & warm, soapy water.

February Birthstone – Amethyst

If you were born in February, your birthstone is amethyst – the purple variety of quartz that has captivated mankind for millennia.

The word “amethyst” is derived from the Greek word Amethystos, meaning “not drunk” or “a remedy for drunkenness.” The Ancient Greeks believed a person could drink all night and remain sober if they had an amethyst on their person.

Its lilac to deep purple hues can be cut into many shapes and sizes, and it can be manufactured in a lab as well as mined.

Amethyst, the February birthstone, can be found in the collections of royal families throughout Europe and Asia. Now it’s within reach of most consumers.

If your birthday is in February, then wearing an amethyst can also be a symbol of personal empowerment and inner strength.

GIA DIAMOND

GIA diamond is really shorthand diamond sellers use to describe diamonds that have been graded by GIA. GIA is an independent, nonprofit organization that conducts gem research, educates gem professionals, and sets the standards for determining diamond quality.

One of GIA’s main functions is the grading of diamonds. You may have already heard or learned about the 4Cs of diamond quality: color, clarity, cut, and carat weight. GIA created this standard, along with the scientific procedures for evaluating each “C” and the grading terminology used to describe them.

Diamonds and other gemstones are weighed in metric carats: one carat is equal to 0.2 grams, about the same weight as a paperclip.

Diamond price increases with diamond carat weight because larger diamonds are rarer and more desirable. But two diamonds of equal weight can have very different values depending on the other members of the Four C’s: clarity, color and cut. The majority of diamonds used in fine jewelry weigh one carat or less.

GIA’s color-grading scale for diamonds is the industry standard. The scale begins with the letter D, representing colorless, and continues with increasing the presence of color to the letter Z, or light yellow or brown. Each letter grade has a clearly defined range of color appearance.

Natural diamonds are the result of carbon exposed to tremendous heat and pressure deep in the earth. This process can result in a variety of internal characteristics called ‘inclusions’ and external characteristics called ‘blemishes.

The GIA Diamond Clarity Scale has 6 categories, some of which are divided, for a total of 11 specific grades.

Flawless (FL) – No inclusions and no blemishes visible under 10x magnification

Internally Flawless (IF) – No inclusions visible under 10x magnification

Very, Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2) – Inclusions so slight they are difficult for a skilled grader to see under 10x magnification

Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2)- Inclusions are observed with effort under 10x magnification, but can be characterized as minor

Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2) – Inclusions are noticeable under 10x magnification

Included (I1, I2, and I3) – Inclusions are obvious under 10x magnification which may affect transparency and brilliance

A round brilliant cut diamond has 57 or 58 facets, the 58th being a tiny flat facet at the bottom of the pavilion that’s known as the culet.

The GIA Cut Grading System applies to the most popular cutting style – the standard round brilliant, and all clarities across the D-to-Z color range. There are five cut grades: Excellent (EX), Very Good (VG), Good (G), Fair (F), and Poor (P).

Facets are the key to a diamond’s cut quality. Their angles, size, and arrangement to each other, as well as the quality of their surfaces in addition to other factors, are critical in delivering that sparkle you expect to see when looking at a diamond face up.

TIP: Ex Ex Ex or Triple Ex: You’ll hear these terms to describe diamonds with an Excellent overall cut grade, and Excellent polish and Symmetry grades.
